A WAYNE COUNTY WOMAN WAS KILLED IN A TWO VEHICLE CRASH DURING THE THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY WEEKEND. ACCORDING TO THE INDIANA STATE POLICE – JUST BEFORE 7PM ON FRIDAY, THE RANDOLPH COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT RECEIVED A CALL ABOUT A TWO-VEHICLE CRASH ON U-S 35 AT THE INTERSECTION WITH COUNTY ROAD 900-SOUTH. THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED BY THE INDIANA STATE POLICE RECONSTRUCTION TEAM – A 2003 CADILLAC, DRIVEN BY 58-YEAR-OLD MICHELLE ELAINE MOORE OF RICHMOND, WAS TRAVELLING WEST ON RANDOLPH COUNTY ROAD 900-SOUTH. MOORE DISREGARDED A STOP SIGN AND WAS STRUCK ON THE DRIVER’S SIDE DOOR BY A BOX TRUCK, DRIVEN BY 56-YEAR-OLD MICHAEL LANDON ENGLAND OF NEW CASTLE, TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON U-S 35. MOORE WAS PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE. I-S-P SAYS THEY DO NOT SUSPECT THAT DRUGS OR ALCOHOL INVOLVED IN THE CRASH. U-S 35 WAS CLOSED FOR ABOUT TWO HOURS FOR CRASH INVESTIGATION AND CLEANUP.
