Two local residents were injured in a two vehicle crash early Thursday afternoon. On April 18 around 12:35 pm, Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Police, Greenville Fire, and Greenville Twp. Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of US 127 and Greenville Celina Road in reference a two vehicle injury accident. 

Preliminary investigation revealed a white 2020 GMC Terrain driven by 20-year-old Alison Byram of Rossburg, Ohio was traveling eastbound on Greenville Celina Road. Byram failed to yield right of way while entering onto US 127 traveling into the path of a 2011 Ford pickup traveling southbound on US 127 driven by 54-year-old George Kenworthy of Greenville, Ohio. Kenworthy struck Byram in the drivers side of her vehicle causing both to come to a rest in the median. 

Byram was transported to Wayne Hospital with minor injuries, and Kenworthy was transported to Miami Valley with non life threatening injuries.

This accident remains under investigation by The Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
