Multiple people suffered injuries, with two of them taken to a local hospital, following a two vehicle crash heading into the weekend. According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office – at 5:35pm Friday – Darke County Deputies, along with Ansonia Fire, Ansonia Rescue and Union City Rescue were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 49 and State Route 47 on the report of an accident with injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Ford Escape driven by 29-year-old April Foster of Dayton was traveling North on State Route 49 at State Route 47. Foster failed to yield the right of way from a stop sign traveling into the pathway of a 2023 Kia Carnival driven by 31-year-old Emily Bubeck of Ansonia, that was traveling West on State Route 47. Foster and her front seat passenger 44-year-old Stephanie Young of Dayton along with four juveniles were transported to Wayne ER by Ansonia Rescue and Union City Rescue. Bubeck and a Juvenile passenger were treated and released at the scene.
