Multiple injuries were reported in a two vehicle crash April 4. According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office – it was just before 3:50pm Friday – when deputies along with Versailles Fire, Versailles Rescue and Ansonia Rescue responded to the intersection of Versailles-Yorkshire Road and Burns Road in reference to a two vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2011 Toyota Prius driven by 67-year-old Alan Knoke of Union City, Ohio was traveling westbound on Burns Road at Versailles-Yorkshire Road. Knoke failed to yield after a clearly marked stop sign, traveling into the path of a silver 2022 Chevrolet Colorado, driven by 19-year-old Imagene Potter of Versailles. Potter struck Knoke on the passenger side causing both vehicles to travel off the roadway. Knoke’s passenger, 66-year-old Patricia Knoke had to be mechanically extricated from the vehicle by Versailles Fire.
All three occupants were transported to Wayne Healthcare for further evaluation with non-life threatening injuries.
