A woman and her two young kids were seriously injured in a two car crash Thursday. Just after 8:05 A.M. Thursday, Darke County Deputies, along with Gettysburg Fire and Rescue, Greenville Township Rescue, Bradford Rescue, and CareFlight were dispatched to the intersection of Auld Road and New Harrison Bradford Road, Gettysburg – on the report of a two vehicle accident with serious injury.

Preliminary investigation revealed a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by 64-year-old Rodney Sneed of Greenville, was traveling south on Auld Road. Sneed was hauling a thirty-foot flatbed trailer. He was stopped in the roadway waiting to turn left onto New Harrison Bradford. Once able to, Sneed began his left turn.  He failed to yield the right of way to a northbound 2007 Chrysler Sebring, driven by 27-year-old Joy Marsh of Gettysburg. Also in the vehicle, were Marsh’s two children, six-year-old Owen Warner and four-year-old Wesley Ernst. Marsh struck the right front of Sneed’s vehicle.

Rodney Sneed was unharmed in this accident.  Joy Marsh suffered serious injury and was mechanically removed from the vehicle. Owen Warner and Wesley Ernst were both removed from the vehicle and seriously injured. One child was flown by CareFlight to Children’s Hospital.  Marsh and her second child were flown together in a second helicopter by CareFlight as well.

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
