A Miami County woman was killed, and a Darke County man seriously injured, in a two-car, head-on crash west of Greenville, According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office – just after 12:30pm Tuesday, Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, Greenville City Fire, and Lutheran Air, responded to the 2600 block of State Route 571 for a two vehicle head-on crash with injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2025 Ram pick-up truck driven by 82-year-old Larry Addis of Greenville, was traveling southeast on State Route 571 when he drove left-of-center colliding head-on with a 2021 Toyota Prius, which was traveling northwest, driven by 62-year-old Lorretta Biggs of Troy. Biggs was pronounced dead at the scene, and Addis was flown to Miami Valley Hospital aboard Lutheran Air.
The Darke County Coroner’s Office and Darke County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team also assisted with this investigation. This crash remains under investigation.
