A Miami County resident was injured, and a northern Indiana man ticketed for a crash in Darke County Friday. Just before 8:30 p.m. – Darke County Deputies along with Ansonia Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the 9100 block of State Route 118 in Greenville on the report of an injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2011 black Toyota Carolla was traveling south on State Route 118. The Toyota was trying to turn left into a private drive but traveled into the path of a northbound 2002 black Honda Accord. The Honda struck the Toyota and both cars became disabled in the middle of the roadway.
The driver of the Toyota was identified as 30-year-old Emilson Hernandez of Peru, Indiana. The driver of the Honda was identified as 60-year-old Don Stanley of Covington, Ohio.
Stanley was transported to Wayne Healthcare by Ansonia Rescue for suspected minor injuries. Hernandez did not claim to have any injuries and was issued a citation for failure to yield when making a left-hand turn.
