A local man is in the Darke County Jail after trying to meet up with a 13-year-old girl in Greenville. Just before 2pm on Tuesday, 18-year-old Braden Denny was arrested after an investigation confirmed Braden had been attempting to engage in sexual conduct with a subject, he believed to be a 13-year-old girl. Braden had arranged to pick up the minor to engage in sexual activities within the City of Greenville. This investigation started following multiple reports of Denny attempting or actively engaged in sexual conduct with juveniles.
A traffic stop was conducted on Denny in his vehicle at Tecumseh and East Main Street as he was on his way to meet with the underage girl. Denny was placed under arrest for Importuning, a fifth degree felony, and transported to the Darke County Jail.
