A local teen and her passengers were taken to the hospital following a single vehicle crash Thursday afternoon. Around 4:05 PM yesterday – Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire, Greenville City Fire and Greenville Township rescue were dispatched to US Route 127 and State Route 121 in response to an injury accident.
According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office – the preliminary investigation revealed a Chevy Sonic driven by 17-year-old Addison Meade of Palestine, Ohio was traveling north on US Route 127 when she tried to turn onto the State Route 121 ramp. Meade failed to negotiate the turn striking an overhead sign support, where the vehicle came to rest.
Meade and her two passengers were transported to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Township Rescue with minor injuries.
