A Darke County man was injured in a two-vehicle accident Friday afternoon. Around 12:25pm on December 5 – Darke County Deputies along with Arcanum Rescue and New Madison Fire Department, responded to the intersection of US Route 127 and State Route 503 on a reported injury crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Pontiac Vibe driven by 26-year-old Mathew Willey of Greenville was traveling northbound on US Route 127 attempting to make a left turn onto State Route 503 and was struck by a northbound black Ford Explorer driven by 44-year-old Matthew Whitehead of Greenville, who was attempting to pass at the intersection.
Willey was transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries, and Whitehead was uninjured.
