Just before 6:20pm Saturday, Darke County Sheriff Deputies, along with Arcanum Fire and Rescue, responded to the 3800 block of State Route 49 reference a vehicle crash with injury. Investigation revealed a GMC 1500, driven by 20-year-old Dominic Davis, of Arcanum, was traveling Northwest-bound on State Route 49 when he tried to turn left into a private driveway, traveling into the pathway of a Kia Soul, driven by89-year-old James Hodges of Trotwood, OH. Hodges’ vehicle struck Davis’ vehicle in its rear passenger side, causing the truck to spin off the roadway to the South before coming to rest. Hodges, Davis, and his passenger, 19-year-old Alannah Sullivan of Greenville, were all treated on the scene for possible minor injuries and refused further medical services. Davis was issued a citation for Failing to Yield.
