A Darke County teen was killed in a two car crash on February 25. Around 5:25a.m. Tuesday -Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Darke County Sheriff Accident Reconstruction, Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, and Greenville City Fire responded to the intersection of U.S. Route 36 and Westfall road in reference to a two vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Red 2010 Ford Fusion, driven by 19-year-old Trevor Mardin of Greenville, was traveling Eastbound on U.S. Route 36. A Silver 2005 Honda Pilot, driven by 34-year-old Jordan Wolfrey of Greenville was traveling Westbound on U.S. Route 36. The two vehicles collided head on, causing Mardin to be ejected.
Trevor Mardin was transported to Miami Valley Hospital where he died of injuries suffered in the crash. Wolfrey was transported to Wayne Hospital for minor injuries.
This accident remains under investigation.
