Versiti Blood Center September Blood Drives: Anyone who registers to give blood in September will receive a “I Support Local Lifesaving” T-shirt and be put in drawing to win Ohio State Buckeyes Football Tickets.

Versailles FFA Presents Igniting Awareness: Thursday October 9 at Versailles Fire Department, 320 Baker Rd. Open house with free meal is 6:00-7:00pm,  program is 7:00-8:00pm. This free program and dinner designed to educate us about fire safety.

Darke County Shrine Club Aluminum Can Drive: Saturday October 11 in the parking lot of the old Marsh store on Martin Street in Greenville from 10:00am-2:00pm. Funds raised go to Shriners Childrens Hospital.

Darke County Sheriffs Office Warm Winter Wear for Darke County Children: New hats, gloves and coats are currently being accepted at Sheriff’s Office, 5185 County Home Rd, Greenville for the Saturday October 11 hand out to children. More information call 937-547-4609 and ask for Stacey.

Darke County Free Shred Day: Saturday October 11 at the Darke County Fairgrounds, please enter gate #1 from 9:00am-12:00pm or the truck is full. Limit 8- one cubic foot boxes per household or business. More info call the Solid Waste Office at 937-547-0827.

Greenville VFW Darke County Singles Dance: Saturday October 11 at VFW hall with doors opening at 6:00pm, dance is 8:00-11:00pm.  Cover charge is $9. Must be 21 years old. Band will Side Show.

Fort Recovery FFA Alumni Selling Cooper Turkey Rolls: On sale now through Thursday October 23. Cost per roll is $45. Print order form from the Fort Recovery School website under news section and mail with payment.

Save Your Caps and Lids For Benches: Darke County Solid Waste District is collecting caps and lids to make benches for several locations in Darke County including the Greenville City Park. Drop off locations include right here at WTGR, Solid Waste Office, most Darke County village offices and libraries.
