Both drivers were treated for minor injuries in a two vehicle crash Thursday afternoon. Around 3:40PM – Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire and Gettysburg Rescue, Bradford rescue responded to the intersection of Children’s home Bradford Rd and Horatio New Harrison Rd on a crash with injuries.
Preliminary investigation discovered a 2015 Jeep Cherokee operated by 75-year-old Sharon Ropp-Oswalt of Union City, was traveling West bound on Children’s Home Bradford Rd and struck a 2008 Ford Focus operated by 18-year-old Gunnar Francis of Laura who was traveling South bound on Horatio New Harrison Rd. During the investigation it was determined that Sharon failed to yield to through traffic. Both Sharon and Gunnar were transported by Gettysburg and Bradford Rescue to Wayne Healthcare for minor injuries.
This accident remains under the investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s office.
