Celina, Ohio – State Representative Angie King (R-Celina) announced today that she
has officially filed her petitions to seek re-election to the Ohio House of
Representatives, reaffirming her commitment to continue fighting for the families,
small businesses, and communities that make up Ohio House District 84.
Since taking office, Rep. King has worked to uphold conservative principles by
standing against government overreach and unfunded mandates, protecting personal
freedoms and constitutional rights, and ensuring local communities, not bureaucrats
have a voice in decisions that affect them. She has been a strong advocate for property
tax reform and income tax reduction, recognizing the growing financial pressure on
homeowners, seniors, and working families.
“Our rural communities deserve leaders who understand their way of life and will
stand up for them,” said King. “I’m running to continue fighting for lower taxes, local
control, and policies that allow families and small businesses to thrive.”
Representative King has consistently supported policies that protect the district’s
agricultural heritage, strengthen education, and promote fiscal responsibility, while
opposing one-size-fits-all mandates that hurt rural communities. Her decision to seek
re-election reflects a commitment to preserving the values, freedoms, and
opportunities that define the district.
Currently serving her second term in the Ohio House, King serves as Chair of House
Local Government committee and is a member of the House Insurance, Public Health,
and Government Oversight committees.
