Darke County Senior Center September Events: Tuesday September 8- Chair Yoga 10:00-11:00am, Game Day 1:00-3:00pm. Wednesday September 9- Line Dancing 1:00-3:00pm. All the events are at the Birchwood Senior Center, 5844 Jaysville-St Johns Rd, Greenville.

Darke County Retired Teachers Association Meeting: Wednesday September 9 starting at 11:30am at the First United Methodist Church at the corner of Fourth & Sycamore Streets in Greenville. Speaker will Dr. Randy Overbeck, award winning educator, bestselling author and popular podcaster. Lunch about for $12.

Palestine Flea Market: Every Thursday now through September from 9:00am-2:00pm at the Palestine Ballpark. No setup fees. More information call Dave at 937-564-1145.

Museum of the Soldier Annual Chicken Supper: Friday September 18 from 4:30-7:00pm at the Jay County Fairgrounds during the Indiana Military Vehicle Show. Tickets are just $12 and must be ordered by Thursday September 10 by calling 260-729-7017.

Legendary Rolling 50s Classic Annual Fall Cruise-In: Saturday September 12 in downtown Greenville on Broadway from 2:00-8:00pm. One of Ohios largest cruise-ins. Dash plaques to first 450 cars. Registration $15, Spectators are free. Music, food, raffle, t-shirts, 50/50 and more.

Greenville VFW Darke County Public Dance: Saturday September 12 with doors opening at 6:00pm, dance is 8:00-11:00pm. Must be 21 years old. Cover charge is $9. Band will be Triple Nickel.

New Weston BBQ Chicken Dinners: Sunday September 13 at 404 Main Street in New Weston from 10:30am until sold out. Look for the rooster.

Village of Arcanum  Annual Purple Heart Ceremony: Thursday September 17 with parade line up at Family Dollar at 5:45pm. Parade starts at 6:00pm. Ceremony is at 6:30pm at Arcanum VFW.

Americas Freedom Tribute Traveling War Memorial: Thursday September 17 starting at 1:00pm through Sunday September 20 at 2:30pm at the Arcanum VFW Post 4161, 311 South Albright Street. Free and open to the public.

Save Your Caps and Lids For Benches: Darke County Solid Waste District is collecting caps and lids to make benches for several locations in Darke County including the Greenville City Park. Drop off locations include right here at WTGR, Solid Waste Office, most Darke County village offices and libraries.
