44th Annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament Raises $23,500
for Darke County Cancer Patients
The 44th Annual Annie Oakley Golf Tournament was held July 20, 2026, at Turtle Creek
Golf Course, raising $23,500 to benefit the Cancer Association of Darke County.
Held each year, the Annie Oakley Golf Tournament brings together local golfers,
businesses, volunteers, and community supporters for an important cause: helping
Darke County residents facing cancer. All proceeds from the tournament support the
Cancer Association of Darke County and its work assisting local cancer patients as they
navigate some of life’s most difficult battles.
Since partnering with the Cancer Association of Darke County, the Annie Oakley Golf
Tournament Committee has raised more than $500,000 to help local cancer patients
and their families.
The Cancer Association extends special appreciation to the dedicated tournament
committee members:

- Lisa Martin
- Tim McNally
Christine Lynn, Executive Director of the Cancer Association of Darke County, and
Cheri Shefbuch, Treasurer also work alongside the committee in support of the annual
event.
“Each year, this tournament demonstrates the remarkable generosity and caring spirit of
our community,” said Christine Lynn, Executive Director of the Cancer Association of
Darke County. “The funds raised through this event help provide meaningful support to
Darke County cancer patients when they need it most. We are deeply grateful to the
committee, golfers, sponsors, and everyone who contributes to its success.”
On behalf of the Cancer Association of Darke County Board of Directors, Executive
Director, and Treasurer, the Association offers heartfelt thanks to the Annie Oakley Golf
