Both drivers were injured and taken to local hospitals following a head-on crash Friday. On August 7 at 11:35 am, Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire, Gettysburg Rescue and CareFlight, were dispatched to the 8100 block of US RT 36 East on the report of a two-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2013 Nissan Murano driven by, 62-year-old Teresa Meredith of Greenville was traveling eastbound on US RT 36 E attempting to turn into the Flower Barrel. Mrs. Meredith turned in front of a westbound 2014 Lincoln driven by, 67-year-old Carmen Watt of Greenville. Both vehicles struck head on causing the Lincoln to travel off the right side of the roadway coming to rest in a construction site.
Watt was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Gettysburg rescue with minor injuries. Meredith was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, her condition is unknown.
