One person is dead after a shooting in Greenville on Wednesday morning, and another is in custody.
Officers spent several hours investigating in the 1100 block of Russ Road, specifically near an apartment complex in that area. Officers were dispatched to the area minutes before 2 a.m.
The Greenville Police Department later confirmed that one man, later identified as 26-year-old James Corcoran had suffered a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man, later identified as 33-year-old Todd Black was present at a nearby residence and taken into custody.
Black is being held in the Darke County Jail on one count of murder.
The incident remains under investigation.
