A Darke County man has been killed in a single vehicle accident over the weekend. Around 4:50pm Sunday – Darke County Deputies along with Osgood Fire and Osgood Rescue were dispatched to the 7600 block of Medford Road in reference to a fatal accident.
According to the Darke County Sheriff’s Office – the preliminary investigation revealed that 65-year-old Steve P. Kramer of Versailles, Ohio was operating a Case 1845 skid loader while traveling eastbound on Medford Road with a large log on the front of the skid loader. The weight of the log was too heavy, causing the skid loader to tip forward ejecting Kramer out the front. Kramer became pinned between the boom and the skid loader. Steve Kramer succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Darke County Coroner’s Investigator responded to the scene for further investigation.
