Three local teens were injured in an accident on slick roads, just as the weekend was getting underway. Around 9:20pm Friday – Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire & Rescue were dispatched to the 8700 block of Horatio Harris Creek Road in Bradford on the report of a single vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Ford F-250 was traveling east on Horatio Harris Creek Road when the teen operator lost control after traveling across drifted snow in the roadway. The juvenile ran off the roadway and struck a tree.
There was a total of three juveniles in the vehicle including the driver, 18-year-old Owen Shaffer, 18-year-old Marissa Hicks, and 18-year-old Jaliegh Hummel all of Greenville, were also passengers in the vehicle.
All the occupants in the vehicle went to Wayne Healthcare. None of the occupants sustained life-threatening injuries.
