A Darke County resident was injured in a crash this (Monday) afternoon. Around 2:50 pm Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Police, Greenville City Fire and Greenville Township Fire and Rescue, responded to the intersection of US Route 36 and Jaysville-St. John’s Road for a two-vehicle injury crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a black Ford Explorer driven by 38-year-old Lianne Schmitz of Greenville was traveling westbound on US Route 36 and collided with a gray Toyota Camry driven by 42-year-old Richard Cobbinah of Fairfield, who was stoppped at the southbound stop sign on Jaysville-St. John’s Road, and pulled out into the intersection, failing to yield the right of way.
Schmitz was transported to Wayne HealthCare for minor injuries, and Cobbinah was uninjured.
