Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a crash over the weekend that sent two people to a local hospital. Just before 1:20am Saturday-Darke County Deputies along with Hollansburg Fire Department, Tri-Village Rescue, Arcanum Rescue, and Medflight responded to the 100 Block of South Main Street in Hollansburg on the report of a single vehicle crash.

Investigation revealed a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado driven by 21-year-old Dylan Ackley of New Madison, Ohio, was traveling south on South Main St. Ackley drove off the left side of the road and struck a tree. He was flown by Medflight to Miami Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Dylan Ackley’s two passengers, 19-year-old Bailey Bensman of Hollansburg, Ohio, and 20-year-old Amberlyn Kesler of West Alexandria, Ohio were transported to Reid Health in Richmond by Tri-Village Rescue and Arcanum Rescue with non-life threatening injuries.

This crash is still under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s office.
