Minor injuries have been reported and a driver cited after a two vehicle crash late Saturday morning. Around 11:25am on November first, Darke County Deputies along with Greenville fire, Greenville Township fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of State Route 118 and Horatio-Harris Creek Road on the report of a crash with injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed a 2015 Chevy Cruze driven by 29-year-old Kenneth Reitzel of South Vienna, Ohio was traveling east on Horatio-Harris Creek Road approaching the stop sign at the intersection of State Route 118. Reitzel failed to stop at the posted stop sign traveling into the intersection, striking a northbound 2019 Ford E-450 FedEx delivery truck driven by 22-year-old Cameron Hawn of Riverside, Ohio. After the impact the FedEx delivery truck traveled off the right side of the roadway, coming to rest on its side in the ditch.
Hawn, Reitzel and his passenger, 28-yearold Sydnie Williams-Mankey of South Vienna, Ohio were treated and released from the scene.
State Route 118 just north of Horatio-Harris Creek Road was closed for over two hours.
Reitzel was issued a citation for failure to stop at a clearly marked stop sign.
