A local man suffered serious injuries in a single car crash early Saturday. Around 1:40am – Darke County Sheriff’s Deputies along with Hollansburg Fire, Tri Village Rescue, and CareFlight responded to the 2100 block of Hollansburg-Richmond road on the report of a single vehicle accident with injury.
Preliminary investigation revealed that a Red 2007 Honda Fit, driven by 18-year-old Nathan Wiedmaier of Greenville, was traveling north on Hollansburg-Richmond road. Wiedmaier failed to control the vehicle, driving off the left side of the roadway. The vehicle rolled several times, before he was ejected.
Nathan Wiedmaier was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight, where his condition remains unknown at this time.
This accident remains under investigation.
