TWO PEOPLE WERE INJURED IN A TWO VEHICLE CRASH WEDNESDAY EVENING. JUST BEFORE 6:45PM YESTERDAY – DARKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES ALONG WITH GETTYSBURG FIRE, ARCANUM RESCUE AND GREENVILLE TOWNSHIP RESCUE WERE DISPATCHED TO THE 6900-BLOCK OF STATE ROUTE 571 ON THE REPORT OF AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES.
ACCORDING TO THE DARKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE – THE PRELIMINARY INVESTIGATION REVEALED A SILVER 2006 CHRYSLER DRIVEN BY 65-YEAR-OLD REGINA BAILEY OF GREENVILLE WAS TRAVELING ON STATE ROUTE 571 – TRYING TO TURN LEFT INTO A PRIVATE DRIVEWAY. A WHITE 2016 RAM 1500 DRIVEN BY 26-YEAR-OLD TONYA LOUK OF LONDON, TRIED TO PASS BAILEY, AS SHE WAS TURNING. THE TWO VEHICLES STRUCK EACH OTHER AND LEFT THE ROADWAY. LOUK STRUCK A UTILITY POLE BEFORE COMING TO REST. BOTH DRIVERS WERE TREATED AT THE SCENE AND TRANSPORTED TO WAYNE E-R BY ARCANUM RESCUE FOR MINOR INJURIES. THE ACCIDENT REMAINS UNDER INVESTIGATION BY THE DARKE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE.
