PARVOVIRUS AND UNKNOWN DISEASES HAVE BEEN AFFECTING ANIMALS  IN OHIO, INDIANA, AND MICHIGAN THIS SUMMER.  AT THE RECOMMENDATION OF VETS IN THOSE STATES – INCLUDING LOCALLY – THE DARKE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER THIS WEEK HAS STARTED VACCINATING ANY DOG THAT ENTERS THE FACILITY.  SHELTER DIRECTOR AND DOG WARDEN ROBERT BAIR – A GUEST ON OUR COMMUNITY TIES PROGRAM MONDAY – SAYS THEY ARE DOING EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO ELIMINATE THE SPREAD OF VIRUSES AND DISEASE. ANYBODY WITH QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS MAY CALL THE ANIMAL SHELTER AT: 937-547-1645.  MORE INFORMATION IS ALSO AVAILABLE ON THE DARKE COUNTY ANIMAL SHELTER’S WEBSITE AND FACEBOOK PAGE.
