Four people were flown to the hospital after a crash in Darke County Thursday afternoon. Around 4:35 PM Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire/Rescue, Greenville Fire Department, Versailles Rescue, Ansonia Rescue, MedFlight, two CareFlight helicopters and Greenville Police  were dispatched to US 127 and Childrens Home Bradford Road on the report of a two vehicle serious injury accident.

An initial investigation found that a Honda Odyssey, driven by 29-year-old Antonio Bartrum of Troy was stopped eastbound at Children’s Home Bradford Road and US-127 at the stop sign. Bartrum attempted to cross US-127 when it was hit by a northbound Ram 5500 utility truck driven by 23-year-old David Sheets of Celina. The Ram 5500 traveled off the right side of the road and overturned in the ditch. The Honda came to rest in the median.

Sheets and his passenger Conner Adams were flown to MIami Valley Hospital, their conditions are not known. Bartrum and 20-year-old Isabella Smith of Troy, a passenger in the Honda were also flown to Miami Valley.  They are both listed in critical condition at this time. 

This accident remains under investigation by the Darke County Sheriff’s Office.
