THE OHIO DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES REMINDS EVERYBODY OF THE BURN BAN THAT IS IN EFFECT UNTIL THE END OF NOVEMBER.  ACCORDING TO THE O-D-N-R WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS – PEOPLE WHO PLAN TO CONDUCT OPEN BURNING SHOULD BE AWARE OF THE RULES THAT MIGHT AFFECT THEM.  INDIVIDUALS COULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR DAMAGES CAUSED BY A FIRE THEY STARTED THEMSELVES.  THE BAN PROHIBITS MOST OPEN BURNING IN UNINCORPORATED AREAS FROM 6AM TO 6PM THE REST OF OCTOBER AND NOVEMBER. THE O-D-N-R SAYS THAT OPEN BURNING IS ANY OUTDOOR FIRE THAT DOES NOT VENT TO A CHIMNEY OR STACK.  EVEN SMALL CAMPFIRES CAN EMIT HARMFUL CHEMICALS, ACCORDING THE THE OHIO ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY.
